Patrick de Saint Simon is a Mineral Economist, Mining and Civil Engineer, and Independent Consultant with more than 50 years of experience in the engineering and management of natural resource and infrastructure projects relating to water, power, minerals, and construction materials, with a particular focus on Africa.
His experience spans exploration, mine design and valuation, mine contracting and development, and institutional support to ministries of mines across Guinea, Mali, Gabon, Lesotho, Ghana, Mauritania, and Nigeria, including reviews of mining codes, cadastral systems, and investor promotion campaigns.
He has led due diligence studies for financial institutions and mining groups, advised on mergers and acquisitions in the mineral sector, and authored numerous engineering and scientific publications, holding degrees in geotechnical and mining engineering, applied geology, and business administration.
